What is Workamping?

Workampers are adventuresome individuals, couples and families who have chosen a wonderful lifestyle that combines ANY kind of part-time or full-time work with RV camping. If you work as an employee, operate a business, or donate your time as a volunteer, AND you sleep in an RV, you are a Workamper!

from Workamper.com

There are two common misconceptions about Workamping and Workampers:

  1. Workamper are just retirees
    1. TRUTH: Less than half of all Workampers consider themselves retired. In fact, the median age is 53!
  2. Workamping is just trading work for a place to park your RV
    1. TRUTH: Workamping includes any activity the involves the exchange of man/woman hours for anything of value

The majority of Workampers share their talents and experience in campgrounds, resorts, national and regional parks, etc. Some Workampers have jobs that take them all over the country and have chosen this lifestyle because it’s nicer than staying in hotels all the time. And a growing number of them have created their own business that can thrive from anywhere!
